Adv. Poll with not go past Step 1 of install

Hi All,

I just setup our server and I am trying to install Advanced Poll 2.04 and I changed my common.inc.php like described in the readme and when I goto http://localhost/poll/install.php it will not let me get past step 1.

I thought it might be a permission issue and I have IUSR set to full permissions for the entire poll directory (and sub-directories).

I also tried IE 6.x vs Firefox and that made no difference.

I read a lot of the stickies and post, but none mention this issue.

Anyone seen this/got past it?

Thanks,
Don

I resolved this, but I am not sure about the answer.

I turned on register_globals to get osCommerce to work and now advanced poll installs.

I would feel safer if there was a patch to advanced poll to allow register_globals to stay off and still function.

Thanks,
Don
