Advance Poll - Javascript front end

I learned from this forum that to put Advanced poll on existing html pages requires either changing the extension to .php or adding a setting to .htaccess. Unfortunately, on the several hundred pages I have, either causes havoc. CSS and other includes no longer worked. I'm very reluctant to go through changing all the pages to change the includes. Trying to put Adv Poll an iframe didn't help.

So, I currently have a "try this poll" link to its own php page, but that lacks the impulse-appeal of a poll right there displayed on the original page.

Is there another solution? Any chance there is a javascript front end to add to a web page that wouldn't need changes to the rest of the html?

Thanks.
