i have uploaded the guestbook file and perl in my free website..but the guest book not work, i find some error..like this..

Cannot create ID file guest_id.txt in /home/usr/mertajati4/book. Please check your base directory.


how do i change my $base_dir...
i don,t know what change it....and what it is in actually look like my guestbook....?

i enclosed my guestbook.pl
pls see in $BASE_DIR line.....
what should i fill in that line....

i register for free domain in www.portland.co.uk
and i got http://mertajati4.port5.com
my user name is mertajat
where is my real $base_dir there

/home/www/mertajati4/book, other wise I can try and install it for you if you want?

Have tried, tried and tried again and again to get it working but it's just not doing it, im sorry... best thing to do at this stage is to ask portland.co.uk to have a look at it for you..
