Welcome and a great bike choice I might add. About the exhaust, one thing a fellow member at www.volusiaowners.com did was drill holes in the baffles. He drilled a series of holes until he got the sound he wanted. Now he also drilled them with the option of filling them with bolts or screws if he wanted it quieter.

Mine are still stock and I don't plan on changing it but I would try drilling first. If you go to the above website, look in Modifications.
