I had the same problem. These scumbags ruin everything, Guestbooks, Message Boards, etc. I changed my GB to manually apporve all posts to it. What I did was add a field to database called show_entry. I move a 'n' to it when a new entry is submitted. Where the entries are viewed, I only show those with a 'y' there. The 'y' gets put there when I approve the entry manually. My GB isn't that busy so it's not a big deal. I wrote a small php script that shows me the entries with 'n'. On the same page I can approve or delete them easily. I also took away the Submit on the first page forcing them to Preview first. Works pretty well. Would love to have just 1 of these guys alone for about 5 minutes. They'd never be able to spam again.

If we can turn off the Auto-publish will make those spammers stop their unwelcome entries. Messages should be pending until we approved them..

Someone else below asked this already about antispam scripts.
I am getting nailed with Spam on my advanced guestbook. Is there anyway to stop this? If not, there really isn't any point in leaving it up and active. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I see you have table below, to prevent the spammers. NEED HELP! Thanks!

Hi Ted - Wishing you great returns on
your new website!! It's been awhile since I saw you in Tucson, but hopefully
the Tour will come to the KC area if you
continue your schedule!! Little did I know in '75 in Minneapolis you'd still be playing the lead in JCS!!
Take care and be safe.
Ann

Another comment: "redirected back" is redundant. You could just say "redirected."

I have installed this guestbook on my site. I would like visitors to be able to choose to go back to my site www.miniwebbin.com after they sign the guestbook. How do they do that? Also, the word "redirected" is misspelled (with two r's)--can you fix that? Thanks
