[AG-2.4.1] PHP exec() function is disabled

I am having some problems with Advanced Guestbook 2.4.1 :

1st - I am testing Advanced Guestbook 2.4.1 in my site and I receive this message when I sign the book of visits enclosing an image

What is that ?

2nd - After clicking in "Submit", the registration of my e-mail is : marceloguedes(at)terra(dot)com(dot)br.
Because he doesn't appear : "marceloguedes@terra.com.br" ?

3rd - How do I do to transfer all of the registrations in Advanced Guestbook 2.2 for Advanced Guestbook 2.4.1 ?

I observed that the version 2.4.1 has new fields in their tables, as well as the registration of the sent images came out of "book_data" passed for "book_pics".

How do I solve these problems ?

1st.

The error message says it all. Tell your host to update thier version of PHP.

2nd.

Stops e-mail addresses from being collected by spammers automated scripts/programs/harvesters.

3rd.

Read the stickies on how to upgrade.

4th.

DON'T post the SAME topic is EVERY SINGLE FORUM!
Your lucky I didn't just delete all of them, since they were bordering on being considered spam.

5th.

We can read just fine, we don't need things in bold AND in bright red.

Excuse for the messages us other topics.

They remain me two doubts :

1st - My provider is using :

- PHP version 5.0.4
- MySQL client version 4.1.10
- MySQL version 4.1.19-standard-log
- phpMyAdmin version 2.8.0.2
- Apache version 1.3.36 (Unix)

Which version that should be updated ?

2nd - Could you indicate myself in which topics the information are on as i do to transfer the registrations of Advanced Guestbook 2.2 for Advanced Guestbook 2.4.1 ?

My english is very bad and i didn't get to find anything.

Ok just a quick correction on Aurons post.

1st - This is because AG has always used shell commands for moving uploaded images but some hosts do not allow this which is why I removed the exec lines from Lazarus and used pure PHP instead.

3rd - All the entries are stored in the database and the physical pictures in the public folder. Download 2.4.1, extract it, copy the database info from your current config.inc.php file to the 2.4.1 files, upload 2.4.1 to replace your existing guestbook (download a back up first) and finally run the update_db.php file founf in the new misc folder by visiting it in your web browser.
