Can't see thumb nail or pic in Advanced guestbook 2.3.4

Hello,
I am using Advanced Guestbook 2.3.4, and try to upload image, all I can see is x in small white block as thumb nail and when I click on that block other window opens up with big block of 320 x 90 but no picture.

I can see that image is uploaded and thumbnail image created in /guestbook/public folder.

any help would be really appreciated.

Try setting the base_url variable in the config.inc.php file.

Folder permission set to 777, solved the problem.
