After resolving various other path issues, what I get now when I try and add a link under any category is message:
Cannot add entry to link page because the comment
<!--games --> was not found in ffa-games.htm
which is strange because the comment is there!
Any ideas?
www.scoopfish.com click on Links option at the bottom...

what a plonker... always boils down to simple typo 
I had entered my comments as <!--ffa-games-->
when should have had space after the file name
<!--ffa-games -->
