Help with this error message please

first of all I am new to this!! So please excuse me if this is an overly simple question.

I uploaded the poll files to my server.

And when I put the url into my brower to access the admin this is the error message I get.

I have not a clue!! Do you? Can someone tell me what I did wrong and how to correct it so I can use this nice program

Did you configure everything correctly in the config.inc.php file before you uploaded it?

Sometimes the route to MySQL is different on different servers so you might want to check and make sure you have all the right settings.
