How to reset Admin and password in Advanced Poll

I forgot the username and password for the admin section in the Advance Poll v2.03. How do I reset the setting, without losing the information in the database. I read about adding to line 26 in config.inc.php

$pollvars['poll_username'] = "admin";
$pollvars['poll_password'] = "b0f6dfb42fa80caee6825bfecd30f094";

but that did not work.
I also read about deleting lines in the Database itself, namely in the poll_user table but that seems tricky. I still have the database username and password but I can't edit the poll anymore.

The username and password in the files is your database username and password not that for the polls admin. If you look in the guestbook readme there is a post on reseting your password using phpMyAdmin. The instructions should b similar for Advanced poll.
