their IP is 205.134.161.4 If you want to make the guestbook store the IP instead of the hostname you will find instructions for it in the forum. Just do a search for "ip hostname"

THAAANK YOUUUU!

This guy has been spamming the guestbook at my site www.superlapseries.com as well. Thanks so much for the help. I wish I could spam his IP or something just to get back at him...or at least tell him that he needs to learn how to spell!

"I raelly like your site!"

That should be sticky because that's exactly why I'm here.

I had the same problem with them....
Since a couple of weeks they keep sending the same messages... Erase one and you get two instead...
A while ago the guestbook from my site was spammed with comment messages... Now people who want to send comment must ask for a password first. The result is... there are no more comment messages.. pitty...
Groempffff...
Thanks for solving this one in a very simple way.
Greetings from Zogge (B)

you could edit comment.php in the template file to say what the password is. As the spam is automated they wont know the password.

Hello again,

What if you "hide" the url of the guestbook in an "external" javascript? I suppose this prevents "bots" from finding the exact location.. Sorry if I am wrong (I = rookie).
This is one of the last measures i took to avoid spam-attacks.
(cfr www.zogge.be/gastenboek.htm)
If this can be of any help, please let me know and I will send the exact url where this script can be downloaded (for free!).
Greetings to all.

Actually I'd say my human verification was the best anti spam method as the method you have posted stops people who's browser does not support javascript from visiting your site.
