HI

I used to have version 2.3.1 of the Advanced Guestbook on my site, coz my Host has it as a one click install procedure. Then i got spammed continuously, but i had no problems logging in at all. But then yesterday i went to login to admin to remove more spam, and it would not let me log in. I had correct username and pass, but i kept getting told it was wrong.

i got annoyed decided to uninstall that version and installed v2.3.4 (which i downloaded from this site) . I had set up the Database correctly, the CHMOD settings were correct, i pointed the browser to the install.php and it was installed correctly it said.......
BUT......
when i entered the 'test' '123' default login username and pass, i got this:

Guestbook - Administration Centre
Before you can proceed you have to enter a valid name and password!

I tried the reset script that i found on these forums to change the username and pass, and used that, but it made no difference. I went into phpMyAdmin and changed the pass there as mentioned in a post on here , but that did not work.
I uninstalled the lot, reinstalled it, and yep you guessed it... i still can not log in after a fresh install and a brand new database. I've tried everything i can think of, i've read through the posts about it, but no luck

It just does not want to log me in, no matter what i try.
My Host hasn't changed anything on the mySQL because I can still login to other app's i have on my site. so i'm lost.
Please help as this is really annoying the hell outa me.

Thank you in advance
