Hi,

I have installed the poll script and it works like a charm (thanks). The reason I did so was I was hoping to use it on my site which is already using a php based CMS (Mambo 4.51a as a matter of fact) the poll component/modules that come with the CMS are not as... well... advanced shall we say as this one.

However I don't have a clue how to get the poll to show up on my site. I was hoping to have a poll in every single content item, and have it be the main function of the site.

My issues begin here:

I don't know where to put this code? When I view the source code of the main page (through my browser right click funtion)of my site its shows:

So I guess from your instructions I put it above this... but for the life of me I can't find that code in any of the mambo files... not in index.php etc.

The closest thing I could find was a file called front.php with the following code:

etc.

Finally when I post the code snippet that includes the poll id, in the actual content I will be doing so through a form field in the Mambo CMS admin side... (basicaly how you update content).... will that still work?

I hope this makes some kind of sense.

inside of a Mambo content item and all I could see was:

Is this because I don't have the

in the right place yet? Are they dependent on each other or does the cookie code just help prevent people from voting multiple times?

Interesting you should say that. I recently visited a Mambo site, http://www.chicanismo.org/, and I thought his polls were really neat.

Hi, I have searched the web, and can't find any help that fixes this problem with Mambo.
Have you found any solution, I know this is a old topic, but maybe there's a solution out there.

Thanks for any help
