Hi,
whenever I click on a menu on the admin area I get asked for the password, and then taken back to the original page. I am within the poll/admin/index.php page.
Regardless if I click on "Create a new poll" or "General settings" or any other link, I get asked for my username and password, and then again I see the same page. I cannot even delete polls.
Has anyone else had this problem? What could it depend on?
I have installed the MySQL version, installation went without errors.
Thx

The problem is either the wrong permission on a file or a path was set wrong somewhere.

hrm.. to my knowledge there are no paths that needs to be edited!?
It all works in relative paths to the "poll" directory, no?
And when installing the only instructions are setup MySQL database and run the "install.php" ?!?!
Where are the path info and or file permissions install information??
I have seen that others have the same problem on this forum, but I canĀ“t see any solution ((

OK. Fixed: You have to go straight to the "general settings" before you can do ANYTHING else....
Perhaps a good idea to have this included in instructions..

I'm still stuck on this same problem. I've reinstalled (deleted and re-uploaded several times) and I still can't keep the login past the first page. I've tried going directly to "general settings" as has been suggested, but still no problems. I was able to get the images working (by adjusting the string in the config file) but that wasn't really the kep issue I'm having. Any more suggestions would be awesome, I'm at my wits end. If anyone wants to play with it, you can see my issue here:

Difficult to make suggestions since I can't get in there to look at the files, but a couple of questions:
1) Are you sure you uploaded the admin_license.php file? Some programs will not work properly if the license is not there.
2) What is your setting for the base url in your include/config.inc.php file? I am thinking it should be something like this:

the admin license is there, in the "admin" folder. as for the config file for base url, I have the entire url, because I thought maybe doing making a relative reference would mess things up. It's:
would it be better to do a relative reference?

Some of the basic poll and img. paths can be set in the config
before you upload it so you don't get jacked back to the login
page without having to go to gen. settings to change them.
