php include

Hi I have managed to install advance poll, no problem but when i got o embed the poll in to a html document nothing shows. this is the code.

include_once "/home/kirstend/public_html/poll/textfile/booth.php";
echo $php_poll->poll_process(4); // x = Poll ID
?>

I ahve saved the document as .shtml adn html and nothing.

All help would eb mcuh apprecaited.

Save the page as PHP and it will work.
