Hello.

I am looking to change the way the guestbook sorts its entries that is shown when you enter the guestbook.

I am looking to have the 1st entry list first, sorted by ( oldest post to newsest post)

IE . Webmaster has 1st entry to welcome all visitors, then have oldest post to newsest post.

Can that be done ( i'm sure it can !!!)

You can visit my guestbook at www.lekeeperworld.com

Hi again. So you want the start page to show the oldest post and then the next oldest and so on? Strange request but simple enough. I'll throw something together in work tonight.

I'm removing all the administration links on the guestbook so that no user will peak at it and try to hack it. I've been successfull at removing from index page, but on entry page, I can't seem figure out how to remove it from there the add entry page.

any ideas how to ?

Thanks

templates/form.php

Not that it makes much difference as the page is still admin.php although I don't think changing the name of the file will affect it's functionality so long as you remember the file name so you can get to it.

This will allow me to have the 1st entry as an introduction to the guestbook for the visitors and will get people to browse. Right now I have to reset my id#( entry) so that it shows up and is seen by visitors. Everytime someone signs on, it rests my id( entry #).

Looing to see how this will work

Thanks

Do you really want it to show the entries in reverse order or would you prefer it if a selected entry was always first on the page? I mean you could have entry 1 always be the first entry on every page and still have the posts go from newest to oldest as they do now.

Why not just hard code the HTML for the post in question into the template?

Sure thing - in the lib/gb.class.php

Find this line -

and change it to

I have not thoroughly tried this out - so make sure to save backups of the official file so that you can reload it if necessary.
