Advanced poll in html  XML

Hi, I have have tried to get the poll to display in a html file and have used information from previous posts. I have updated the htaccess file but all I get in the webpage is the text:

poll_process(1); ?>

The code I used was



There is a poll with ID 1. I can get it to work with .shtml. Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong?

change the page entension to .php

I need to keep it as html as it is part of articles live php script. I would have to recode all that if I did.

I wouldnt be that expeirenced to do it.

I have the same problem as ukkpower....if I change the file extension to .php, the poll displays correctly.

BUT, since I want to place this poll within a .html page and be able to alter its location from time to time, how can you do this?
