Hello.
I'm using poll 2.0.2.

My site is built with header and footer.
The poll is included in the footer.
Because of this, the link to view the reaults, and the poll submition itself are leading to the footer file.

How can I fix this and make it lead to the main page ?

The structure is the the page has in it's first line an include to the header, and in the last line an include to the footer. So each file has a diffrent name.

Thank you.
To: anyone who can help
I am having problems with seeing any of the images and icons on my guestbook at www.graphickandy.com/GuestBook/index.php . I have tried reuploading the content from my end but have gotten no results.
Help, anyone!
Mark
The site I'm working on is for an internal LAN and is not accessable from the Web. I'm having what appears to be the same problem as the original user that posted. FYI, I've cleared cookes and cache during testing to make sure that there wasn't an issue with those.

Thanks.
I've installed both the text and the db versions and followed the instructions to the T and when I select an option and click vote or view results, it just comes back to the poll. No votes are logged and you can't view any results. Settings are correct in admin and URL changes. For example, if I vote, it adds ?action=results&poll_ident=3 to the URL. Not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions? Permissions shouldn't be an issue since I chown'd all the files to apache (also followed your instructions just in case). I can create polls (both versions) and they display correctly.

Thanks.
i discovered that i messed the template.
i missed the $VOTE thing.
it shows the "you have voted" message.

but everytime i reload the page, all i see is the results + "you have voted message"
howcan i make it show the poll options instead of the results?

hope you guys help me out this time...
FIRST: if you have mySQL access, you can log into something like phpmyadmin, increase the field width to 255 from 100, and then change the actual question there.

Then you can go into the admin/templates/admin_edit.html and admin/templates/admin_new.html files and change the maxlengths on the question fields to 255.
What kind of error could I make?

The poll works just fine on its own, and the process of embeding it does not require any action involving username/password.
I installed Advanced Poll 2.03. Seems to work fine, except if I try to embed it into my WordPress sidebar. Then I get this message.

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'xxxxxxx@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /home/xxxxx/public_html/poll/include/class_mysql.php on line 32
Connection Error

xxxx does not show the username i created for the poll database, and which is duly inserted in the config file (otherwise the poll would work without embedding).

This seems to be a known issue, but I've found no solutions. anyone???

TIA
Is it possible to add a poll to a page that is dynamically generated. Say i have two pages http://www.somepage.com/page.php?id=3 and http://www.somepage.com/page.php?id=4, can I then generated two separate polls for each page from the original page.php

I hope this makes sense. What happens now is that I just get a single poll result independant of the different pages.

Thanks for any suggestions
ian
No, I didn't try it, b/c I'm not trying to insert php into an actual blog entry.
When someone tries to write a message in my guestbook this message appears :
One of the input fields does not seem to be valid.

I am using Advanced Guestbook 2.3.2

www.sykestua.com/gjestebok

Any idea?
You tried that html plugin?
thx very much carbonize!!

i'm learning...

i managed it to change the password... BUT :

as soon i enter the admin panel, and klick on one of the menu options, i get to the password screen and get the message:

"Please enter a valid username and password:"
I have a webpage for my 3 year old girl...it is quite nice and visted by friends and family offten, the guestbook was a place that mesg could be left for her and so on, and it was used offten. But our loved ones have stoped using it as it has be overridden with spam, and i have forgoten the user name and password that i set three years ago and can not get in to remove the spam......is there a way that i can reset them or find them?
Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, I was never able to find a "solution". Other polls also didn't seem to offer the features and simplicity of Advanced Poll, so I was really starting to be in a bind. However, I did find a workaround. In WordPress I could only display Advanced Poll without problems by including it in the Main, Page, Comments, etc. templates. So, instead of being able to include it in one of the peripheral files (like sidebar) that get loaded every time, I have to include the Advanced Poll code in every file, which makes it rather redundant, but functional nonetheless.

Check out my page at http://www.sfubusiness.ca/buzz to see the script working nicely with WordPress.
