I have used this script on another site that has imagemagick and all is well see http://www.oregangalleries.com/billboards/
my question remains what do we do on a host that does not have imagemagick but does have GD?
Hope you can solve this Mr Carbonize, if I get any clues I will post them here

shame i like this host but will have to move again if I can not fix this

I have installed a nice vanilla gb and still same problems
gb is at

admin still default password

yes I have hacks/mods, so have installed a nice vanilla gb and still same problems
and one new one after submit
Warning: unlink(index.html): Permission denied in /home/httpd/vhosts/qps2000.com/httpdocs/test2/lib/add.class.php on line 80
though messages are posted could this be related to the thumbs not being optimised.
gb is at

guestbook is working except that thumbs are not being optimised and are same file size as origional, just reduced in dimensions.
the new host does have GD Library installed any suggestions on how I could get this happening?

I asked my host about this he says that "GD Library is installed, it does what you want" how do I get it happening, I wonder .....
any clues on where to look?
this is a commercial use of your script, we are happy to leave credit and link in place and we would also like to offer small payment.

http://www.google.com/webmasters/3.html#removed
suggests you use
in the head and
in robots.txt placed in root directory
ps how do I get my host to install image magick or is it GD, or can I use a script that I install my self to create thumbs for the images in AdvancedGuestbook?
my other host has imagick and all is well, but our new guestbook is resizing the thumbs but not creating a new optimised file.

a robots.txt file must be in the root directory to work, i can not see http://proxy2.de/robots.txt and i can not see a robots meta tag in this doc?
I have got my guestbook working on new site except for thumbs, how do I get Image Magick or PHP's GD extension happening
|
|
|
try adding
to head tag
how does one edit images and change the order of entries?

certainly what you say about linking is correct, but i must disagree with how often googlebot visits, If your site is highly ranked and has regularly changing content she will visit daily or even mmore

I owe you a beer Auron.
Sorry to get of the subject but I am worried about googlebot she has stopped spidering our main site 48 hours now when normally visits twice a day, also backlinks have been up and down. solve me the algorithm and I by you the pub.

[color="darkblue"] need help to install Advanced Guestbook, and will shout you a beer for your troubles.
if you can come to sunny Queensland Australia I will join you in a xxxx
else I will paypal, or whatever, money today if you can solve my problem.
1) I know very little about php and nothing about mysql
2) I have used advanced guestbook on hosting accounts where it was a one click install but this host does not include it (they are more the full on php nuke).
3) any way I have uploaded the files and set permissions on /adminand /tmp.
4) created a db by clicking blindly in plesk control panel.
5) edited /admin/config.inc.php to read:
this seems to have worked, I had to change it when my first two attempts were wrong, and watched the error messages playout in my browser.
6) till I reached Error Number: 1146 Table 'spec.book_config' doesn't exist,
I assume this means that I have not set the tables in my db and was hoping that some thirsty folk would show me how.
7) I can send you ftp password but ask that you not only fix it but explain how you did it.
Thanks, & it's my Wally Grout (shout).
