Thanks for responding
I added it to the code in class_poll.php and it still didn't make any difference. The pop_up window is still the same size. I can edit the file directly on my web server account so the change should be immediate.
Thanks for trying..did this work for you?

Hi
I just got a message from my webhoster saying that they can't do that because that would affect the security and that if I had a domain name then I wouldn't have this problem.
Thanks for replying..rluka

This should be easy but I can't change it. Do I have to edit the html code in /templates/popup/. I tried that and it doesn't work. The permissions are set to 666. Should this be changed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...rluka

I don't think my way is better. Its just easier because I don't have a lot of experience in PHP programing.
In phpMyAdmin I have "lock_timeout" set to "2". Is that in hours?

Thanks very much for replying
I did finally figure out that I can work on this through phpMyAdmin.
I would still like to get into /Poll/admin/index.php but I keep getting this
error:
I was told that if I removed "the open_basedir restriction (php.ini)" that it should work.
I can't find any "php.ini" file....any idea as to how I would do this?
I am obviously new to PHP and would appreciate all the help I can get.

Okay
I found another way to do this:
Go to your MySQL data base on your server. Its probably sql.HostName.com
I'm using phpMyAdmin 2.2.4 with MySQL 3.23.54 on mine.
Left click on your data base name. In your table click on "Browse" next to
"poll_config". Now, click on "Edit". I have two edit choices. Don't choose "SQL-query:[Edit]" Now scroll down to "check_ip" and set that value to "2" click on "Go" at the bottom and you done.
I hope this is clear and helps...rluka

Go to Internet Options and delete "cookies", then refresh your page.

Solved this problem:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class polldb_sql in /home3/l/myname/www/Poll/include/class_mysql.php on line 10
How can I set the background color. I'm using the popup template and trid to edit the .html code but it doesn't show on my page.
Any Ideas

Great Info
I just screwed up in where I placed it: I'm assuming that "metod" is "method". I'm new to php and would really appreciate it if you could tell me where to put this code in the file(Line #). When I tried it at the beginning of the file it didn't work.
Thanks..rluka
method poll()
$this->pollvars['check_ip']=2;

Just some facts:
I'm using:phpMyAdmin 2.2.4
MySQL 3.23.54
PHP Version 4.2.3
Are there any known issues.
I can get into phpMyAdmin with no problem and control the data base but I just can't get into the Admin folder.
Someone on my server pointed out that Advanced Poll has to be run from a domain name. I'm trying to run it out of my www folder. Is that a fact?
http://www.islandnet.com/~luka/Poll/survey.php
I also get this error at the bottom of the page:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class polldb_sql in /home3/l/myname/www/Poll/include/class_mysql.php on line 10
Again..any help would be greatly appreciated....I also search through this group looking for answers that have already been posted

Hi
Thanks for replying. I tried that and I still get this message:
Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect.
Maybe I'm tryiny to access it the wrong way. How do I go about logging into this Poll program?

I'm using Advanced Poll

I'm unable to access my admin folder. I have "deny from all" in the
.htaccess file. Is this what is stopping me? If so, then how can I change this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...rluka

Hi All
Below is what I have so far. Is this page displayed properly? How do I transfer this to my own page? I have entered all of the code on the left
in different ways and I still don't see the poll.

Also I am unable to get into the admin section. I keep getting this error:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
