Thanks for the link. I read the posts and tried two ways.

First I tried

[Method 1]
Select the Guestbook database.
Select book_auth.
Now choose Browse.
You now see the admin username and password.
Select edit.
Now paste Code:

in the password field and click “GO”.

This will reset your account to:

Your admin name and the password will be: 123

but the password 123 did not work. I also tried to change username and password by the "second method" but both times I got the same error - invalid user /password.

Second I tried to use your reset_beta file and I got this error

Table 'db34073x312207.book_auth' doesn't exist

I think it doesn´t work because the "book_auth" inside my phpMyAdmin is called "agb242_auth". Can you please give me some help again?

I´m using an Advanced Guestbook 2.4.2. Since some days I´m not able to login.

I tried to change the password with the forget_pass.php file, but it doesn´t work and I got an error

I checked it and comment.class.php is in the lib folder. I tried to replace the comment.class.php file by an older backup. But it still doesn't work.

Do you have any other idea what I can try?

I still was looking in "comment.php" but I couldn't find the problem.
