I would say that would depend on how much space your host setup for you myself. It really soinds like a host problem to me. Something either not enabled or not installed.

Weird. I'm not changing anything. someone just posted and was able to upload a photo. Not sure what's going on. I'll keep you posted on this interesting mystery.

Just tried it again and no luck I have a ton of space on Yahoo, not even close to use up. I wish I could get picture upload working.

It worked for you and not for me. I just tried to upload a 56kb .jpg and it didn't work. I'm wondering if people posting animated gifs disables picture upload for a while then it turns back on? I noticed someone else posted an animated gif in the past and this seemed to happen. Just a shot in the dark.

When you uploaded the images, did they show up in the preview function or did you go direct to "submit"?

When I visited Cinder's guestbook, the images do not get displayed in the preview - it could be that is what is causing people to think that the image upload function is not working?

Weird. Picture upload doesn't seem to like me. And yes I used the preview before sumbitting and although I got a "red x" box I posted it anyway and it didn't display. And it was a photo I had no problems posting before. It's all a mystery to me. I've asked others to try to upload a photo and see if it works for them or not. Thanks for trying to help!

Cinder - the image gets lost if the person clicks on preview before submitting. - It is a mystery why it doesn't pull it in. I tried two times - once without the preview and once with the preview - as you can see, when I did not use the preview, the image showed up - but when I used the preview submit, the image did not show up.

Picture upload is broken again. It worked for a while by not clicking "preview" when uploading, but now it's broken again. Didn't change any settings. Just tried to upload a 150kb .gif and even took out the numerals in the file name but it won't work. My guests really want to use this function. Can anyone help?

Is there anything in the admin area saying how big the file that's being uploaded can be?
Maybe you went over that limit?

Other q's...

Any errors or warnings?
When does it stop working?
How does it stop working?

Just tried a tiny picture and it still won't upload. I have a max. of 600k and 320 x 80 as a border width and height. If I set this border ratio any larger it totally blows up previous thumbnails way too large. And even upon trying to set it higher it still won't upload a new picture. I have checked "create thumbnails" and set the minimum file size at 12kb.
Thanks for replying.

I have a think here on your page talkshit.html

for Click Me link - use the complete url - http://www.yoursite.com/guestbook/index.php instead of just http://yoursite.com/guestbook/

After you change it, let us know if it helps....

As ET suggested I changed the URL but it didn't help anything. And to Carbonize- I don't know what BASE_URL means and I don't know how to edit anything anyway. If you had "click by click" instructions I could probably do it. Thanks for your replies.
