advanced poll little problem

when i vote it displays the results straight away. And stays like that for the rest of the time. Is there a way to that once you vote for the first time, a message appears saying that you have voted. Because you can view the results by the view results link. Also once you have voted it stays on the results page. How do u get it to go back to the question poll and if you try again to then display a message saying that you have already voted

if i wanted users to only vote on the poll once in every month do i need to check the box for ip tables, or doesnt that matter? also next to that box is a time which was set to 2 hours does this mean i need to change it to 720 hours (which i got from 24 hours in a day, roughly 30 days in a month, 24 x 30 = 720).
