the xxxxx is to replace the name. I have had this guestbook running for about a year with no problems till now, I havent changed or modified anything to result in this problem. Any help apreciated, thanks.

Everytime that a user open the index page, after the page is loaded correctly, other page come instead of the index.

What can i do to correct this !?

I'll look at the SQL used to populate the guestbooks output and see if it can't be speeded up. I'm not sure but possibly it loads every entry into an array before deciding what to display.

Did it just suddenly start being slow or has it always been slow? If it's only just started what changes were made when this happened? PHP update? MySQL update?

I have reason to believe that my username and password have been changed without my knowledge. I have read on this forum others have experienced the same. What is the best way for me to reset this? I cannot access the admin section nor can people post to my guestbook. Please help. Thank you.

Thanks for the help with changing my username and password. I had been hacked! What an awful thing to do to people at Christmas time! Thanks to great people like you who have helped correct it.

These last few days have been my first, can I used the word 'exposure' to php.

Amber 222 recomended that I protenct by visitors email addresses in the guest book and pointed me in the direction of this page.

Step by step I deleted the existing code, copied and pasted the code show at the top of this page and whola, I got the following when I tried to access the guest book:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/stevenx/public_html/guestbook/lib/gb.class.php on line 278

As I result I gave up and reinstalled the original php files.

No protection but at least it is working for now.
