right, I shall give it a try - but it seems pretty complicated!!!

Well, I read the little debate you referenced but it didn't make clear if this sets out to simply password-protect the 'sign' page - does it? or is it just a fix against robots accessing the gbook?

I was wondering if there was a way to achieve what I want to do, and what I have to do to achieve it.
I have this setup right now: http://www.usd226.org/db
I want to make it to where when someone votes, a popup comes up, saying "Thanks for your vote!" and in the background of the actual poll, I want it to display something rather then the results. Is this possible? Is there any certain files I need to edit, and if so, what files? All help would be greatly appreciated.

hmm, thanks for the pointer - I have just been investigating some file protection scripts but they seem mainly to go with html files - I'll check into what you have mentioned
Thanks
Any more offers of a simple solution???

Actually, what I am trying to achieve is the possibility to use the guestbook as a kind of 'ads page' - so I (or someone else with permission) can easily upload a picture and item description of something for sale. Of course I can cut out all links to the sign page but that won't stop someone finding it and uploading trash!
Maybe someone knows of an alternative software? All of the 'community forum' type facilities are way too complcated for what I want.

Hi
I know it is easy to password protect the 'comments' feature of Advanced Guestbook but is it possible to protect the 'signing' (addentry.php) page? i.e. so only those who are given a password can sign the book?
Thanks
Rick

Is there a way to change the code for Stat 1.12 such that the Windows NT versions are broken down into WinNT3, WinNT4, Win2k, WinXP and Win2k3. Yhis would assist greatly in those sites that require the information to be a little more specific than just displaying all of the above as Windows NT. Thank you in advance for the assistance.

I made some kind of CMS for myself so I can easily change my website.
I'm trying to integrate the admin from advanced Poll in to this CMS.
Can I include the admin from Advanced poll in to one of those pages without the login?
I want to do this because I allready log in to my CMS and there I click on a link (index.php?page=poll) and then I want to see the admin panel directly without having to type in a password again.
thanks!

Hi
In your wonderful script (Advanced Poll)
Where can I insert my email account
to be able to recieve comments?
Thanks

First off, Great script, its perfect and exactly what I'm looking for.
Is there a way to put a BR tag or something in between entries? I really would like this because I think it looks nice, specially with my site.
An example would be found here
http://personal.cmich.edu/~billi1jm/test/upload1.gif
I'm pretty familiar with PHP, so finding the code isn't too much of a deal, I just need to know which file etc...
Thanks guys/support!
