Since the error is saying "permission denied" you need to check Chmod permissions again. As Carbonize said, the tmp and public directories have to be set to 777. Were you not able to do this? What FTP client are you using? Do you have CPanel?
I want to delete the above two messages 'coz I already knew it.

lol
I just wanted to add that I could log into admin and have done all the necesary settings from the admin.

The problem now is how to integrate the advance poll to my site.

!!!!!! HELP Pls
I've successfully installed Advance Poll 2.02 in my site. The folder is located at /www/poll/

Why ..../poll/index.php is not working?

Do I have to create a page for ../poll/index.php and include the code in the page?

Or still I have to directly give link to ..../poll/demo_x.php?poll_id=x but this seems funny because the php code is right there in the left side of the page.

!help pls!

then you want to go to where you want the poll to be and insert this tag

leave the brackets!!
I called InMotion Hosting the other day.. on account of, that is where i got the installer from... and informed them about the hack. They included a button in Cpanel X where you can easily upgrade to 2.3.1 They also have a button that automatically protects the admin with htaccess.. hope this helps

btw.. to get to the cpanel x on your site, you type in http://yourdomain.com:2082/ when you are prompted, enter your user and pass...
umm sorry... no the second part should be

in strict XML, you can just input this in the (head) area..

it is a very simple fix.. i dont know whether someone already said this, but you can always include the following tag...

my home page has to be named index.html - how to i get around that and have a poll on my homepage?
Why don't you just protect the admin.php with an .htaccess file? It is the easiest fix. Anyone who cares enough to try to crack .htaccess can just have my guestbook for all I care.
THanks in advance Carbonie. I really need to have this done ASAP.

THanks again,

Khang
Good Day

I seem to be getting this error on the home page of my website after I set up the poll and test it...

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/smallis/public_html/default.php:6) in /home/smallis/public_html/poll/poll_cookie.php on line 21

I have no idea wha's that about...

I tried putting the
<?php
// Important! You have to include it before your html code
include_once "/home/smallis/public_html/poll/poll_cookie.php";
?>
code.. before the <html> tag... i've tried putting it in the <head> tag...

I don't know what else to do... Can somone help please...

You can view the poll here ... www.sxmlink.com
