I wrote a script for displaying the last X number entries on any page by including the script in that page.

Have you edited the files?

You obviously used search but stuffed if I know what you searched for but try http://proxy2.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4696 which is a thread entitled Daily Counter not resetting back to zero on new day.
Having looked at that I will try and fix the second problem that I forgot about.

Does your host support the sending of emails via scripts?

As I asked how did you put the disney smilies in. Did you just replace th existing smilies or did you upload them to the smilies folder then use the rescan option in admin

Since you have cPanel it may be worth going into phpMyAdmin and looking at book_auth. You want to see if last_visit is an int with a size of 11.

How did you change the smileys? I know you had to manually edit the form.php file but did you just replace the existing smilies in the folder? The correct way to add new smilies is to upload them to the smileys folder then go into the smilies section of Admin and click the Rescan link at the bottom.

Link me to your guestbook

Replace all files except admin/config.inc.php
Turn on AGCode or enable HTML (although the latter is not recommended).
1 - You need to update to 2.3.4
2 - Why would you want to change the size of the smilies?
The entries and settings are stored in a database and are not amongst the files.
Possibly because you have it totaly wrong

Whats the problem? Just put the link to the stylesheet in templates/header.php or paste the CSS straight into the style block.

Looks like you are missing some files. Might be worth you redownloading the guestbook from here then replacing all your files EXCEPT admin/config.inc.php
