admin - general settings
I doubt you changed any non template files. As to the code I said to add to form.php yes just put it after the form tag.
Yup he introduced a kind of anti spam hash in 2.3.3 but it caused moer problems than it solved. 2.3.4 was released partly to try and rectify that.

Padraigh what error messages did you get? I have rewritten the installer and will be releasing it shortly with 1.3.
If you are on 2.3.1 then you really are best off replacing al of your files except admin/config.inc.php. If you have customised your templates then replace all but the config file and your templates BUT you will need to add this to form.php in the templates.
Maybe you don't have a .htaccess file or possibly your FTP client is set to not show hidden files as the .htaccess file is normal hidden. If it exists it is in the root of your site.
The <?php include for the cookie.php file MUST be the very first thing on the page with nothing before it not even white space.
And if that fails speak to your hosts because it is saying their is an problem with the server.
This is a common problem in 2.3.3. try updating to 2.3.4 or Lazarus.
lib/gb.class.php
I released a image verification (captcha) mod about 2 years ago. These mods (except the image verification) are implemented into Lazarus but as to if he will implement them into AG I could not say.
errrrrrrrr no this was an exploit that only existed in 2.2 and 2.3 for which 2.3.1 was released to patch OVER 2 YEARS AGO!

2.3.4 has no known exploits at present and patches the known XSS exploit and the sad/stupid HTML in the useragent exploit.
You can have your included files anywhere you want you just need to specify the full path for the file such as mnt/user/htdocs/mysite/public_html
Read THIS
you cannot put PHP into the templates. The only way you could achieve what you are after is to actualy put the include inot the guestbook script. Or you could try Lazarus as that lets you use the guestbook as an include file.
