mark wrote:I keep getting the following connection error. I've created all the tables and inserted the values, but cannot run admin.php or any of the php files.

Here's the error:

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (111) in /www/hosts/com/m/markshost/docs/guestbook/lib/mysql.class.php on line 30

Any help would really be appreciated..

Mark

Mmmm, I'm getting the same error running the guestbook as a module on phpNuke 7.3 using the right blocks visible. If not visible everything seems to work fine. No problems logging in as administrator.

No solution so far.

Robbie
Thanks alot Now it works as it should
I understand what you mean But it's not working as it should... I guess

I did upload all the templates again (after doing the hardcoding thing to change all the base_url stuff) and now tried with addind a include header, include index and and include footer. Now the images work as they should, BUT not the links...

Why is that? I thought it was wierd, since the images are linked to the right places, then so should the links aswell... shouldn't they?

I really appreciate the help from you 2
No, I was thinking more of the header and footer files which was going to be in the include... I understood the admin / config.inc.php thing.

But when I added the templates/header.php and templates/footer.php to the page it looked like this:

www.nullproblem.com/gjestebok.php
Would that be those in the template directory?
Where are those located? I couldn't find them
Since you are only trying to perform a test, here is some test code. Create a new file called poll.php (or whatever.php) and Copy and paste the code into it. Change the path info to match yours, save it, making sure it is a .php file. (You can get your correct path by clicking on help in the Admin Panel.) Upload the file to your server and see if it works.

I put poll ID #4 but you can change it to whatever you want as long as a poll by that ID number exists in the Admin Panel.

Remember, this is only a test doc. Good luck.
I tried what you said first Carbonize, but that didn't work... So now I'm working on what you said Trevor It works atleast. But now the problem is more this:

www.nullproblem.com/gjestebok.php

When I press on Sign the guestbook it goes to a new page and doesn't stay in the layout I wish all of that could stay in the layout
It has completely locked the poll the icons showing stats and comments go to a page where it shows 0 votes.
Older polls that are inactive are accessible and fine
Ok I got the graphics to finally show by using admin.
They do show up in the admin section.

On My results page the bar that is supposed to show % is there BUT it appears to white and is called "blank". HOw do I get the color ones to show?

Thanks!
Hai, I'm using the Guestbook 2.3.1 with phpNuke 7.3. I would like to have the right blocks on screen, so I put the $index=1.

However I get the following error:

While executing query "SELECT * FROM nuke_cpg_config" on 0

mySQL error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)

Can somebody tell me what's wrong, or better, give the solution?

Thanks in advance!
