I've found several answers to this problem for the MySQL version, but not for us poor flat-packers who are running sites on the cheap.

I've got a loop when it comes to the admin login; even when I'm so sure that the password is correct, mainly because it was simple. I've tried a few things, from copying over the provided encrypted string in a file in the includes directory to reinstalling the entire bloody thing. Even then the same loop happens.

Is this a cookie problem? Or do I have to tinker with some htaccess files?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

according to readme, to get to the admin, u go to:

yoursite.com/poll/admin

but when extracted, you have to go to:

yoursite.com/poll/textfile/admin

(try going to yoursite.com/poll/db/admin ... gives me even weirder errors)

also, none of the images come up, because the URLs for the images come up as:

yoursite.com/~poll/pollphp/textfile/image/key.gif

when it should be

yoursite.com/poll/textfile/image

what gives?

whiteazn.com/poll/

then, you can login, but cant do anything...just keeps asking for a username and password for everything ....

( username is default, admin pw poll )

really thanks but it doesnt work :/ im talking about the problem with login. Im sure that good login and password are "test" and "123" but it doesnt work. I read the solution of this problem in one post - change session.class.php from latest version (2.3.1) to file from 2.2 version. thanks for sending me this but it doesnt work... still "Invalid username or password. Please try again."

wenn ich nur die Demo1 einbaue habe ich keine Probleme, aber wenn ich zusätzlich eine Kategorie mit Demo3 erstelle und dann beide Umfragen auf der selben Seite sind, kriege ich diesen Fehler in Demo1 :

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class polldb_sql in /home/vhosts/single/www/xxxxx/xxxxx/poll/include/class_mysql.php on line 10

Das xxxx habe ich jetzt ersetzt damit nicht jeder weiß um
welche Seite es sich handelt. Könnt Ihr mir da helfen ?

Is it possible to suppress the total number of votes in the results?

I like to see the results as a percentage, but at the bottom is displays the total number of votes. I'd rather, the public didn't see this number.

I think i aced it i now have 2.2 and 2.3.1 setup wasnt easy but i think i got the hang of probably need to start writing my own manual i think i have that maual already but thanks ive seen the error of my ways. Nice pets
