Just to add that I can fix this because the web browser I use, Firefox, allows me to turn javascript off easily. You can turn it off in IE as well it's just not as clearly labelled.

Checked again from home using Firefox 0.9.2 and it worked fine. So either you fixed the problem or the problem lay in my works network. At work I am sat behind a proxy but even so it shouldn't of produced that error.

btw the scrolling text inputs maybe down to having the font size for inputs set to 9pt in the css.

I was thinking the same thing in which case it must be one of your mods. Do any of them return you to the addentry.php if not filled in/filled in incorrect?

IE 6 on Windows 2k with the googlebar installed (of course you could of told this by reading the alt text for the IE button)

2.3.1 is over 2 years old and with all the mods could easily be updated but I don't think Chi Kien Uong is interested in the projects anymore. I don't think it would be hard to mod for it. If I get chance I'll go through the code later. Have to say though that AG 2.3.1 is a pain in the posterior when it comes to trying to find things in the code as, due to his use of objects, everything is spread across several files.

actually just looked at your gustbook and seen that my post got duplicated.

Just posted again and once again it returned me to addentry.php and doubled up my entry. Posted a test entry in mine and it worked fine.

You have a couple of bugs in your guestbook. The first being that upon submitting an entry it takes you back to the addentry page rather than to the guestbook. The second is you have vertical scroll in your text inputs. Type something in then the hold down the left mouse button whilst on the input and move the mouse up and down.

How do you know they are the IP's they used? They just go in and edit a post so the IP in the post is that of the original poster and not the "hacker". Just to add these people are not hackers but children seeking attention. Yes they do seem obsessed with the name scorpion, most of the ones I have fixed have been by one scorpion or another. Funny how these people are always claim to be from middle eastern countries.

Mozilla is a web browser not a server. If you want to host yourself and are using windows I recommend http://www.firepages.com.au/ as it is a single download and installation that includes Apache web server, PHP and MySQL.

You need to have both PHP and atleast 1 MySQL database.
