At one point I was a newbie and tried to get answers. I looked at every single post that I could to try and find the answer.

Many many times I was told in no uncertain terms to read the post and also that it's easy to do. But no one here would ever give me an answer. I found the people who post response on this site, for the most part, are spiteful children who have an arrogant attitude and sometimes are down right rude to people answering questions.

Yes, this is a general flame to all of you. If you've truely helped someone, then good for you.

It's taken me 6 months but I've rewritten the guest book to do exactly what I wanted to do. I had to learn PHP and MySQL in order to do it.

So now to all the people that tried to help, a big thank you.

ist die Antwort....Hat zwar mehre als 3 Tagen und Nächten gedauert...dafür lauft jetzt wenigstens....

Sie können den Webmaster einmal fragen, der antwortet Ihnen noch nicht einmal. Ich habe drei Tage bzw. 3 Nächte geschuftet, um mit diesem System klar zu kommen. Jetzt läuft es.

Nach der erfolgreichen Installation von Advanced Poll (ADMIN) komme ich nicht weiter, weil ich ein Neuling in PHP bin.
Ich benutze die DB-Version mit MySql, aber wie ich das alles auf meine
Homepage bekomme, ist mir mit der Dokumentation zu Advanced Poll ein absolutes Rätsel.
Kann mir bitte jemand kurz schildern, was ich da machen muss?

Is there a possibility to protect against spam, by activation of new entries via e-mail?
New entries are first sent to the admin via e-mail, who can activate them by a link.
Perhaps anybody wrote a mod...

Gibt es beim Advanced Guestbook eine Möglichkeit sich vor Spam zu schützen, indem man neue Gästebucheinträge erst nach Kontrolle durch den Admin freischalten lässt?
Das heisst erst Email an Admin, der dann auf ein Link klickt, wonach der neue Eintrag im Gästebuch erscheint.
Irgendein Mod vielleicht ??

Advanced Poll is a great program, but the documentation SUCKS!!!

Eure Tipps sind ganz gut und schön, aber der nimmt bei Front-Page das blöde Fragezeichen nicht an. Ausserdem erkennt der diesen Pfeil vor poll_process als das Ende des Befehls an!

Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen?

Bitte, kann mir jedmand erzählen, wie ich Ádvanced Poll auf meinen Seiten zur Anzeige bringen kann. Die Admin-Funktionen laufen ja.
Die Dokumentation zu diesem Poll-System ist doch derarig beschissen,
das kann ja nur ein Idiot vollbracht haben.

My issue:

I have a HTML page, and was wondering if someone knew how to create a preloader? A loader that tells when the page is fully loaded, so that my visitors don't have to wait... (i have a lot of small pictures).

It llok to me like the polls get reset after 1 week, is this correct?
What I mean is after one week, when I go back t my polling page, I am once again expected to vote. even though I voted last week.
The effect I would like to achieve is to have only the polls on which I heven't voted show as votable, and not the one I have voted on.
This seems to work during the week, but after a week. it seems to reset.

Hav ei just missed a setting?
