Hi..

I already had the Advanced Poll in my server when he was php 4.2.3 functioned normally.

Now they had changed the version of php for 4.3.0 and appears the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare set_max_bar_length() in /home/myserver/poll/include/class_poll.php on line 116

This happens when I make the include in the page
example: in my index.php.. i use

<?php
require "/home/myserver/poll/booth.php";
$php_poll->set_template_set("popup");
echo $php_poll->poll_process("newest");
?>

Somebody knows why is happening this error?

I managed to get it setup and running, however, when a message is posted, it gives an error:

Warning: unlink(index.html) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in /home/virtual/site2/fst/var/www/html/gbooktest/lib/add.class.php on line 80

The Directories "public" and "lib" are setup for Write Permission 777 as the manual said.

I have the same problem... I followed everything but the only logfiles that the stat.pl is reading in the default log file that was 2_2001.txt. I tried creating a log file text but still not reading any log files from my site. what do you think is the problem

why not try reading other posts in this forum. It has been answered mutiple times

had the same problem, solved it by removing "IMG" from the config.inc.php
original example= $GB_PG["base_url"] = "http://yourdomain.com/guestbook/img";

corrected example=$GB_PG["base_url"] = "http://yourdomain.com/guestbook";

when i left it in, and looked at the image properties, for some reason the code put http://yourdomain/guestbook/img/img. removing it solved it

Exists portuguese lang file to advance guestbook!?

I’m supposed to go out and learn PHP and SQL ??? Why, to do a couple of minor things to the guestbook that would help improve it for my use? Somebody been smoking dat wacky weed with the Dell dude.

OK – here’s the scenario - Got lots of grand kids, so we decide to take advantage of the internet and show off the family to everybody. Our ISP offers a special hosting plan for those who have broadband, so we take advantage of it. Get a domain name, get Front Page and learn how to put up a web site showing off the grand kids. Our ISP has this guestbook as something you can install. Well with a little help from the folks at my ISP I have it up and running.

Now I’d like to make some minor changes for use on this particular site.

And you young kids out there have the moxie to tell me to go out and learn PHP and SQL, “because everybody wants easy way out when they are stuck”.

I guess you generation X folks couldn’t care less.

I have a problem with my Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1.
The thing is some days ago someone updated the
page 5000 times with POST requests.

I thought this was just a bug from someones webbrowser
(or something like that). I didn't care..

But now when I looked again I saw 2 more guys trying
the same thing? I have like 20000 POST request on my
guestbook... (they dont "post" anything btw just POST
requests.)

What are they looking for? Have Advanced Guestbook
password problems or something??

Should I be afraid?

I tryed to install the guestbook 1.5 on my website with the accompanied install manual (readme). Sorry, I don't understand to install it successful.
Can anybody help me? Answer possible in german.

nein die müsste dabei sein. Sie heißt warscheinlich style.css. Doret steht dann z.B. v-link: #FFFFFF wo das #FFFFFF steht würde ich es auf #000000 stellen weil es schwarz ist
