To those that say they've answered question about the guestbook....thank you.
BUT look back over the posts, guestbookbook users hardly ever get a response.
Most of use want to use the guestbook on a 1st time website and we're feeling our way through and need lots of help. We're trying to learn but we do need the help.
Jared - There was a question a while back about making the email appear as an image so email spiders don't see them. You came back with a fix in ASCII. Great, but how do you do it?? Go find that question and but the answer in there.

So far I've put 10 request for help in during the last 10 months and have got zero help. I'd love to use this guestbook, but without assistance, why should I.

The problem is that I thought, the script would make a data file. But it just puts the entries in the .html and I didn't download the old guestbook file because I had a backup (without the entries) on my disk.

hey i install the guestbook had no error i changed the style and everything and tried testing it and i cant post when i click on submit it takes me back to sign guestbook page which its not suppose to do plz.. HELP!!!

Hello.
Please can somebody offer some help.

I have installed 'Advanced Poll' and it did appear to be working fine but now when you vote and you get the results displayed all links to my graphics and style sheets are broken.

This is displayed in the address bar, after the domain...

poll_ssi.php?poll_ref=/index.html

Any suggestions?

LOL - there is a function 2 do that in the admin area!!!
click on the POOL LIST on the admin page
than click on the new pool you have made and change the values to the right!

this is how you shuld do it

after making a new pool - look for the pool ID NUMBER in the "pool list" screen,
remember it
now add this code to your page:

include_once "/home/hostname/location of booth.php/booth.php";
echo $php_poll->poll_process(x); // <- here goes the id number
?>

NOTICE THAT YOU PUT THE ID OF THE POOL WHERE THE (X) IS!
you can find almost exact explanation in the HELP page under the admin area - hope i helped (sorry 4 the crappy english)

I have setup the Stats program on two of my servers that I have but one of my problems is that it will not detect my domain name, just my IP when I look under the hostname section of the stats. I have tested out other peoples stats from this site and when I go to it, it will detect my hostname fine. Is there a modification to fix this. I do not want to have just ip only showing, that is useless... most of the time.

o my goodness, I had to try out my new OsX with Golive, I just loaded up a new guestbook.html and now all the entries disappeared!

Is there a possibility to get them back?

Unfortunately I get the following error when I 'enable' the cookies...

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/fil/public_html/blog/index.php:9) in /home/fil/public_html/blog/poll/db/poll_cookie.php on line 21

Any Idea of this? I've checked line 21 of poll_cookie.php and I dont see anything wrong.

If I comment the 'include' on the first part of the script, all works fine but the cookies of course dont work.

Any help would be greatfull...thank you.

Hallo zusammen,

Ich habe da mal eine frage betreffend einbauen von Gästebüchern...mir gefällt das advanced guestbook 2.3.1 sehr gut und möchte dies nun einbauen bzw. verlinken.

Problem ist nur, dass dies in PHP verfügbar ist, und ich die Homepage mit Frontpage erstellt habe...kann ich dies trotzdem einbauen oder wo gibt es da irgendwelche konflikte... nachher lade ich ja alles mit dem WS_FTP alles hoch...wäre froh um eine antwort:
