i change the template but every i log back to set it again the template just reset by itself, why is that? it can't keep the setting

I'm having problems installing this script!

I always get the following error message:
"Cannot create ID file links_id.txt in links. Please check your base directory."

Then a load of stuff about my server!

Help please!!!

My daily counter is working fine, but when I open visitors I always see the same ip (not mine) as often as visitors today says.
What´s the problem?

i just tested acess stat script on my private machine (mandrake 9.0). everything has gone smooth and fast. script is working so i decided to install it on server mahine (redhat 7.0)

but i don't know why it doesn't work

i looked to httpd-error-file and what i see?:

(2)No such file or directory : exec of /var/www/cgi-bin/stats/cgi/stat.pl failed
Premature end of script headers: /var/www/cgi-bin/stats/cgi/stat.pl

does anyone has ide what is wrong????
