i was able to install advanced poll. however, when i deleted the 3 test polls ("Which OS is your Website running on?", etc, etc...) i figured that when i was to create a new poll, the auto increment would be reset to 1. this was not the case. the new poll i created started at 4. deleted this poll and tried again...up to 5 now. ive tried to figure it out, but have not been able to. if anyon could help me figure this out, id really appreciate it.
also, what do i include in my index to display the poll?
thanks for reading, tony

it sais:
file_uploads 1(local value) 1(master value)
seems it should work.....
But the open_basedir is definded as

Hi Stephan,
If you have already give write permission to the folder public and tmp (777) and picture uploading is not working, you simply can't use this feature.
For security reason and problems with PHP's upload feature in the past most webhoster (especially the free webhoster) have disabled file upload.
In most cases they have set stupid restrictions for directories,
open_basedir = /...
so that you can't get the uploaded files
or they have turned file uploads off --> file_uploads = Off
It's not a bug and it *cannot* be fixed in the script.

You can't change the location of the tables where MySQL stores the files with PHP. I'm sure you will find more help on their board.
