can any one plz help me with the installation of AG 2.3.1?

How I know where or what my database settings are?
Can you give me an example?

3.Give write permissions to these directories:

- public - 777 (drwxrwxrwx) (directory)
- tmp - 777 (drwxrwxrwx) (directory)

Where are these directories?Do I have to make one in the root of my web folder?

I'm having a problem with installation as well. Everything goes fine until I log on and go to general settings, where I have to fill in "URL to poll directory" and "URL to image directory". The examples given are "/~poll/pollphp/textfile" and "/~poll/pollphp/textfile/image".

What kind of URLs are those? What's called for? I've stuck in everything I can think of - absolute URL, relative URL, absolute and relative path, and every time I get a javascript alert "invalid value."

Thanks for any help - looks like a great package, if I could only get it to work!

I just got the advancedPoll and did the installation on my server which is a win2000 adv S. with IIS 5.
the poll with the php extensions works fine,but i got a little problem tough which is, when i call the shtml page on my browser the poll shows fine on the page but when i click on the VOTE button i got the error message that says, Poll ID does not exist, and when i refresh or click on the back button on my browser im able to see the poll results, does anyone of you guys know what can i do to fix that and make my poll work?

Code is from tip system, but it doesn't work, it gives me error 500 @ Windows 2000, Apache 1.3.24 and PHP something (Safemode on) (?)

In my local server it works. (WinMe, Apache 1.3.23 PHP 4.1.1)

I must change the 'my' to 'our' as this is a corporate site. I have tried MySQL access from the host, Dreamweaver etc. But I cannot figure this one out...
