Hello,
I want to give my visitors 2 languages for the agbook 2.3.1.
At the moment, I can only set the language in the admin section and it will be written in the database.
So I have a homepage, that is designed in 2 languages.
If someone comes from the german site, he schould see the guestbook in german automaticaly and if he comes from the english site, he should see the guestbook in english automaticaly.
How can I do this ??
Can I overwrite the lang variable from DB with an own value and fix it in the code ??
So then I will copy the GB in an extra folder and then the only difference is in this value.
Or is there an easier way for it (maybe a refferer from where he comes) ??
Regards

Hi, I installed the poll and it seems to work just fine. I was wandering how I can leave a space between the different options in a poll, because now when I write full sentences it's hard to distinguish where one option ends and another begins. I tried putting <br> after the sentences, but ofcourse that doesn't work, it just shows the option and<br> on my site instead of starting a new line. Can someone help me out, please. Thanks in advance!
P.S.: If you didn't quite understand what I meant exactly in this post here is the link to the page with the poll I was talking about:

So I’m new! I searched the forum for password problems but couldn’t find what I was looking for. I didn’t know what sticky pages where or that I should look there first. A thousand apologies.
Thanks, I found my answer there one minute after I posted.

I have just moved hosting companies and had to pack up and move my guestbook to my new host. I used phpmyadmin to export it from my old host and sql to import to the new host. I changed the path in the config.inc.php file and the guestbook came right up.
My problem is that I can’t log into my admin page. At first it said that I had an incorrect user name or password so I used the reset tool and reset both the password and username.
Now I can log into the admin area but as soon as I click on any of the links I get directed back to the admin log in page.
Thanks for the help,
Ryan

ET: the email adress I gave you was my home-adress, and when my father opened the inbox, he deleted your mail as he was sure it was a spam!
I told him explicitly that he should next time ask me so I could
check before anything is deleted. If it's not much extra trouble for you,
can I ask you to do one last attempt to send me the script mod for daily counter?
Sometimes things obviously are'nt easy...
Best regards RFM

upgrade to 2.3.1
holy crap, it works
it also creates an admin login loop unless you change the field type of one of the SQL fields. For most people there is no need to updat as 2.2 has all the features they want.
Just wanted to know if this is still the recommended action? ie: am using 2.2 and have applied the fixes recommended in the sticky posts so is staying with this version still okay?

URI Cross Site Scripting Exploit
Open up index.php and fineadd under itThis occurs twice in the file so edit both. I don't believe this is the best fix and I also believe a better fix was implemented silently into 2.3.1 recently but I need to check on that one.
Implementing the fixes listed in this sticky post.
I could only find 1 entry for the above fix.
This is my index.php file with the fix entered. Will this be okay or have I got an index.php file that is not up to date or tampered with?
