I noticed when you install the advanced guestbook, at least through CPanel, it requires you to install it under the root directory. If you try to install it in a subdirectory it will say its not allowed.

I'm just wondering if there was a reason for this? I moved the directory it created into a subdirectory manually and it works fine. But I dont want a problem to come up in the future if your not supposed to. So, is there a reason it would need to be in a base directory?

where do I have to set that ??

I recently acquired the FFAL scirpt from proxy2.de, and I'm having
a slight installation problem. In other words, it don't work...

I'm getting a 500 Internal Server Error, namely,
<root@38-234.myhost.com>

I believe this is the bad doggy in the setup,
$base_dir = "/home/usr/you/links" where
this refers to "Base directory to link files fom the server root."

I've tried several options for the you variable and also
different options for the /home/ variable.

The path to perl is fine, chmod fine, server perl is 5.0+, but I
believe the server is banging its head on this line of code.

I'd hate to bother my server adminstrator with my script problems,
and I'd rather not chunk a good scritpt. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.

Hey, these same "Turkish" guys hacked my guestbook once before. and one of you mods fixed the problem. Well, they got to it again before I could find time to patch the exploit problem. Could you tell me how to delete the message, but don't do it actually do it. I wont to know step by step. Ill have a little surprise for the hackers next time.

Just worked out that the templates are read from the database so the folders aren't created and therefore aren't necessary.

Hat jemand eine Ahnung, warum sich die Ergebniss-zeigen-Seite nicht an die vorgegebene Breite hält, und das Layout zerschiesst?
