Here is a how to change the time and date of your guestbook entries.
The only problem is that you will have to convert each time separately and depending on how much entries you have it can take a while.

You can find a UNIX time converter at this page.

Converter

You will have to edit the mysql database field for each time you want to change.
Open up your database in PHPMyAdmin, click on book_data, and then click on browse. This will open up your guestbook inputs into columns.
Click edit on each guestbook entry.
Look in the date field and your will see a number like this 991795727. (UNIX time format for the date of 6 June 2001, 02:48:47GMT)
Now go to the converter:

Converter

Now place the dates into the box and it will spit out the UNIX format which you will then put into the data field in the mysql book_data.
It’s a long process if you have a lot of guestbook entries.
But worth it in the end, because it appeared that your guestbook was a seamless upgrade from another guestbook.

It might be possible that there is a small time differents with this converter.
In my case it added 2 hours to the time I inserted.
Thus 12:00 becomes 14:00 just subtract 2 hours of the time you want.
So if you want to have 12:00 fill in 10:00
Hi Jay,

Sorry it took so long but I was away for a couple of days.
If you say all folders are there and the permissions are set, then I'm lost.
I don’t know what’s wrong normally the last problem could be that your hosting partner has turned on the safe mode.
Because you tell me that your forum upload works, then this can't be the problem.

I don’t have any ideas left.
Damn,

I must learn to login
Hi Imhotep°,

Just posting the question ones is enough.

Open entry.php in the templates directory and find

delete it.
This will remove the visible email address.

Additionally, find

and remove it to remove the email link above the message.
Hi BrendaJ.

I'm willing to help, but the PM has been disabled on this board.
You can reach me at "email removed"

Just put Guestbook in the subject and it will be filtered
I can only read German, Sorry.

you have to modify the php code

add.class.php

from line 225 to line 236
Replace the nobody@host

with:

".$this->email."

(including ")

the page for the admin panel is called admin.php and it in the same directory as the index file.
Just call it by hand.
You will have to chmod (set permissions) the directory.
The way you do this depends on the FTP program (use the help file) you use or sometimes you can do this thru the filemanager of your hosting company.

Don’t get my wrong, but are you sure you haven’t set the font color the same as the background.
If not do you have a link?
Hi Brenda,

I just looked at your version and you have indeed the 2.2 version.
You can see the smilies when you click on show legend.
So you can just upgrade, but make sure to backup first.
Just incase.

Good luck.
Here are some pictures

Here is a tutorial how to import the tables to upgrade your guestbook 2.2 to version 2.3.1
I assume you already have phpMyAdmin and advance guestbook installed and running.

Login to phpMyAdmin.

And choose your guestbook database.

Now select on the right window SQL and browse to the file with the upgrade or paste it into the window and press GO.

You should now see the message that the SQL-query executed successfully.

You just need to copy all the files of the new guestbook and your done.

Hello BrendaJ

I don't have any thoughts at the moment, but the upgrade should go like this.

First: are you sure you have version 2.2, the one with the smilies.
If you have the right version, then you can do this.

You will have to use PHPMYADMIN or something similar. Phpmyadmin is what most web server hosts use for their clients to access the database.

Replace all files (with the guestbook 2.3.1) and update your database with the SQL file.

Ps. don't forget ta back up your database first. Just in case
Hello Diavola,

I presume that most people can read they just need to be shown the right way.
I can't take everybody by the hand and walk them through, not with something like this.
You just need to loggin and you will find what you're looking for, you just need to read and you will see the answer.

So take it easy
There is no option for this, I suggest you use phpmyadmin for this
