How did you install it ?
Whats the address? Feel free to PM it to me if you don't want it made public.
And what is on line 21 of poll_cookie.php ?
Sorry I should of said. Visit www.yourdomain/guestbookfolder/misc/update_db.php and it will update the database.
You would have to copy your database information from your current config.inc.php file to the new one and then replace all your files. This will not affect your current entries or settings.
Was your guestbook a new installation or an update from an earlier one ?
Download 2.4.3. Open your config.inc.php file from your 2.3.1 installation and copy the database information into the config.inc.php file of 2.4.3. Upload new guestbook and visit misc/update_db.php in your web browser.

Are they enabled in your config.inc.php file?
I don't think any templates have been changes so just download 2.4.3 and replace everything except the templates folder and the config.inc.php file in the admin folder.
There is a line about captcha and at the end it say true; so change it to false;
You can disable it in the config.inc.php file located in the admin folder.

Don't think so. The changes he made shouldn't affect the templates.
Well I've just been through most of the files and it looks like it's mainly a rewrite of the captcha and a security patch.

1 - That is an encrypted email address.
2 - Err have you tried General Settings in the admin?
