I just checked safe_mode and it is off. The image upload was working for a while and then it just stopped. When I reinstall, it fixes it but then just breaks on it's own. I was to fast with my answer. My new version agbook 2.3.1 is now one day up and I got already the first two spams, which have the same origin as i got in version 2.2!
Do I have to change php code or put in a patch, that it stops. I'm tired to delete records (entries) every day.

Thanks very much for all your helpfull tips and scripts. I upgrade to agbook 2.3.1 and all your suggestions were working fine.

But there is still one question. Has the new version 2.3.1 got vulnerable exploits too or can I feel now safe ?

Because the Patch will fix the exploit without REQUIRING the update. But if you WANT to update - go for it.

AGB picture upload was working just fine. I reinstalled it and disabled HTML. It worked for a few days then stopped again! I really didn't change a thing or even touch any settings between the time it was working and it stopped. No one else has access but me. I really don't want to lose all the posts by reinstalling again. People have been enjoying the picture upload and now they are e-mailing me to fix it, help!

Seems a site I built for a friend got hacked. I think it was running Guestbook 2.3.1

Carbonize - here's my dumb question for the day concerning verification and spam posting bots - When the bots spam, are they actually "on your site" when they are posting? Could a person put a feature that forces the person to post from the page and not from a remote location?

Maybe something like

Hello, i'm lost my password for Advanced Poll (using textfile database)

I get a slightly different problem. I vote, see the tally and then hit refresh (some people might) and it automaticallly votes again so someone (who might want to screw the vote up) may keep on hitting refresh. It adds a vote to the 1st one on the list.

Other than that - It's a nice program...
