log.pl, stat.pl and ip.log are in
/cgi-bin/logstat/
My log.pl:
Ma stat.pl:
There are no error messages, but it doesn't log anything.
The code in my html-file:
May I delete these lines:
So, it's not HTML 4.01 transistonal.

Carbonize, I haven't heard from you. Did you get my email?

 |

Yes Carbonize,
It is as I described. It is a .php page created just for the poll.
That is what is making it so frustrating.
Thanks for your reply.

Thank you so much for your reply.
Unfortunately I do not see such an option on the administration page.
I have 19 general settings devided into 5 categories:
general options (6), field definition (5), email options (3), Miscellaneous Options (5)
Perhaps I need to install an update? I have Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1, downloaded from this site 2 days ago.
I do know a little PHP though, so perhaps I can change the settings in the proper .php file. Which one would that be?
Cheers,
Claire

Hello,
Thank you for making the guestbook available: it is great. One question however. My server is located in the US but all my readers (including myself) live in Europe. How can I change the time settings of my guestbook, so it displays the European actual time?
thank you for your reply

Hi fellas,
I need some help figuring out this Advance Poll setup. I have read all of the instructions and forum replies yet I am not getting the result I seek. I installed this script with Fantastico, and to be honest I am a freshman on PHP and SQL, so please be kind.
This is my polls.php page...
with NO WHITE SPACES
<?php
require "/home/miamipre/public_html/polls/poll_cookie.php";
?>
<html>
<head>
<title>Miami Premier Encuestas</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
</head>
<body bgcolor="#FFCC99" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0">
<?php
include_once "/home/miamipre/public_html/polls/booth.php";
echo $php_poll->poll_process("random");
?>
</body>
</html>
THE RESULT IS ALWAYS THE SAME no matter if it is calling a specific poll or a random poll...
echo $php_poll->poll_process("random");
--that is what shows up on the page.
I have created four polls, they are Active, Loggin Off (in admin), Experiation NEver, and Allow Comment selected.
PLEASE HELP!

That's not what I read, are you sure we're talking about the same thing?

It's too tempting to get comfortable with what's familiar. I had a version of emacs I was using since sophomore year of college and I was scared to upgrade since I use it so much and it works fine.
Upgrading wasn't bad at all.
Since I know a thing or two about computers, I figured I'd try to not be afraid of keeping all of my software up-to-date.
Neither version of PHP 5 nor Apache 2 that I'm using is in alpha testing so I don't see it as a huge risk. Further, I'm hosting a website as a hobby so I don't have much on the line (I won't miss out on thousands of sales if my site is buggy).
If I run into a problem caused by a bug in the version I'm using then, at that time, I can choose to downgrade if I must.
So if people's lives depended on the reliability of my system, then I'd probably stick with the most stable software versions available. Since that's far from the case (for me, at least) I don't at all see a problem with using PHP 5 with Apache 2.
Lastly, every once in a while--perhaps even right now with Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1--I can do my part to help find bugs or compatibility issues that developers aren't yet aware of.
