When you say try "reuploading all the files" does that mean installing Advanced Guestbook on top of itself? Won't this erase all my customization and the guest's posts?

The other stuff you guys were talking about went right over my head. You probably get a lot of php illiterate people because Yahoo offers AG as a download. Sorry to be so dense.

This may be obvious to most of you, but it wasnt to me: if you post your URL in this forum, you will get hackers and spammers converging on your guestbook to mess with you.
I have gotten lots of help from this forum and I am grateful for all of it. This is just a bit of advice to newbies, so you can avoid the harassment I've gotten. Ask questions in here and you will get help, but dont post links to your guestbook in here.

I have installed (I used the guestbook.sql script to setup the database gb22 and all it's tables) Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1 and none of the actions produce any results.

For example:
1) if I go to "guestbook/install.php" and fill in the fields then click "create table" the fields just clear out and nothing seems to happen
2) if I go to "guestbook/admin.php" and enter test/123 the fields just clear out and nothing seems to happen
3) if I go to "guestbook/addentry.php" and fill in the fields and click "preview" the fields just clear out and nothing seems to happen (same behavior if I click "submit")

What could be causing this?

I'm using
PHP 5.0.3
Apache 2
MySQL 4.1.9
Windows XP Pro
and I have tested that php CAN interface with the database

Carbonize's Image Verification Script works great. Perhaps you missed some of the steps in the instructions.

Is there any way to block someone from posting in the guestbook twice? I don't mean the flood protection...I mean prevent them from EVER posting again. Probably by logging IP addresses in a database. If not can it be implemented in the next version.

I installed the image verification script because I am getting spam messages, but for some reason, my verifyimage.php shows a broken image. I can't see any of the numbers. How can I fix this?

Put it on my GuestBook and tested it out. It's not getting the notification to the secondary e-mail address. The notification to the primary address is just fine.

Ho to I make the URL field biiger when people sign my guestbook? I find many of my visitors have large URL's and they are getting cut off when they sign my guestbook.

I have a website with Dutch and American visitors.

I changed the language to Dutch in the Admin panel. But I'd like to offer my guestbook to the American visitors as well.

Can I specify a lanuage file in the URL request? Or do I have to do multiple installs?
