And did you run the update_db.php file found in the misc folder?

Email Chi Kien Uong using the E-mail link on left.

Not simply no. You would have to log all ips that request index.php and when they requested it. Then check them that when they request addentry.php. No other method is feasible. Not everybody accepts cookies and not everyone sends a referer.

Recreate the account the same way you originally created it.

Possibly the username/password you were using got deleted during the crash.

Check that the username and password in config.inc.php is still correct.

Disable AG code to stop links getting posted in messages. If you mean the actual homepage then you would have to edit addentry.php to make it permanently empty and edit form.php to remove the input.

You have done a fresh installation of 2.4.1 and when you login in and click a link it logs you back out?

Unless the image generates the random characters based upon the IP of the poster you would need to add some identifying marker to both the image tag and as a hidden input in the form. You also have to edit the form to display the image and have an input for the image code.

Takes a bit more than that. Anyway I have sorted it.

Shouldn't be but you'd be suprised. I have customised this guestbook for people before where they were using versions customised for such things as OS Commerce. It takes a while as you have to walk through the code to see what changes have been made and how it works.

There is a new version of th epoll in development looking at the scripts page. Possibly he is adding the image verification from the guestbook to it.

Ah yes yo umean the modified version that works with phpBB. The one they were stupid enough to call 2.4 rather than a totally different name. You would have to contact them about it.

Update to 2.4.1

Update to version 2.4.1 of Advanced Guestbook as image verification is now built in.
