so your saying that i should turn my homepage file i.e. index.html to index.php
will it work?
my hosting server does support php but my concern is will the visitor able to view my php extension homepage file when they'll click www.zmustudents.com
I use advanced Poll but I don't want to use the admin login. I just want the admin page to open without entering a loginname or a password. How do I do this
I have installed and activated Data Base Version of Advance Poll 2.03. I am not able to embed the poll on my homepage.

I need to put my poll in my index.html file
i.e. http://www.zmustudents.com/index.html

I've followed all the procedures and steps but the poll doesn't work on a webpage.

<?php
// Important! You have to include it before your html code
include_once "C:/W3Sites/zmustudents/www/poll/poll_cookie.php";
?>

<html>
<body>
<?php
include_once "C:/W3Sites/zmustudents/www/poll/booth.php";
echo $php_poll->poll_process(4);
?>

I get error message about poll_process(4);
what should i do on the particular html file to rectify the error.

regards,

fahim
hello
yes i have upload the new templates files from the actual download and its work. i have overwrite befor with my old templates files and the error was there.
thanks for the help
Hi All,

I'm testing Advance Poll. I want people to vote only once. I then use the IP/Table feature, which seems to work fine, except one thing: When I specify the duration (example: 96 hours) until the person can vote again, Advance Poll does not seem to take it into account. It looks like, whatever I put in there, the person will be able to vote again after 24h.

Any idea ?

Regards,
SdCA
I did a search on this and found a few posts with people having the same problem. However, nobody really gave a solution.

My poll is installed, embedded on my page, looks good.

When I vote and click vote, it refreshes but still shows the voting instead of the results. If you click results it says 0 for all the options and the total.

Why won't the poll show the votes? Anybody have a solution?

Thanks,
KEEF
okay ,... i see that this problem has been posted before. I have to convert it into a .php file ... but the problem is that the code should be included into a template for Blog:cms. I added the snippet to the HTML skin part of the script. It cannot be converted to .php

So is there any way i can make a poll.php and add the snippet in that file...and then call the php file from html ?

Thanks
Hello,I have installed the Poll script successfully and i have put this code snippet in my HTML
