It doesnt matter how i try and do the link it either comes up with not in database or no valid command.

i have tryed it with out 'cgi-bin' as well. According to the database they are there!
All files are in /extra..............normal download links work fine,only screws up when i try to add for the download count!

Some like to tell me where I'm screwing up before I put comp threw window? :

go to HTMLfixIT.com, look for their download counter,(you wont gain anything from theirs you need the same information!), the next program on that page is ASK PERL FOR HELP.
Thats what you need! Follow their instructions.
The first line is DOCUMENT ROOT, THATS WHAT YOU NEED!

If you have more than one directory for downloads just add it in thus;

Every directory you want scanned will need to be added
Dont add site address, just the document root!

Scan works fine then!!!!!!!!

For those of you how haven't work it out, the first section is the setup; so where you see the proxy address change it to our own!

i still had problems when i went bact to it all, so ended up dumping the lot in one folder, which works fine, seems being tidy on a web page not a good idea.

Still cant get the downloader link to work!!!!!!!! You got any ideas?????

ich hab ein problem und zwar kenne ich mcih mit php so gut wie gar nicht aus , ich hab es schon geschafft das prog zu isntalliernen nur ich hab keine ahnung wie ich es schaffe das er mir die umfragen anzeigt, denn durch die demo werde ich nicht schlau kann mir das bitte jemand erklären oder mir eine gut kommentierte beispieldatei per email schicken schon mal im voraus ein großes DANKE!

Hi there,

Everything is working fine except for the poll version at the bottom of the poll. It reads Version 2.02
I know mine is Version 2.03, so I opened "config.inc.php" with
Aranae (recommended) and changed the version from 2.02 to 2.03, and uploaded "config.inc.php" to the website. I went online and at the top of the login page (...and all others too) it reads Version 2.03, that is until I make changes under "General Settings" (that's the only one I've tried so far) and Save the changes, then at the top of all the windows and the bottom of the poll itself I read Version 2.02 again.

So far I haven't succeded in making the changes to the proper file. Any ideas please?

hello, i have a question. aftr entering a message in my guestbook there will disaprear a lillte icoon that telss you that youre ip is logged. but where can i found the ip-adress of the person who enters the message?

i think i install the smilies correctly, because at the admin site i can see my smilies. but i didn't change anything in chmod. (chmod is as follow 644)

if i look at the config.inc.php.
i entered the following

nevermind, i found out why. I have sepereate databases for my other guestbook & this one I just installed.. but for some reason it's using the same tables as the other guestbook. The other entries show up in this new guestbook.

Also, how can I get my password fort he other guestbook? I can't remember what it is.

I just installed Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1 and tried to log in but the default username & password is not working. What do I do?
