Then you'll have to delete it and recreate it.
|

You can normally click on the poll question and/or icon (i think) and change
the poll's status, to normal (?), hidden or disabled.

Just so you know changing the way global variables are handled makes
the guestbook more secure. I'm fairly sure this was put together by Carb
and the Webmaster.
edit; everything has changed a lot round here

When editing the templates in the admin area make sure you editing
the right ones, they should be result/ _head, _body and _foot if I
remember correctly. Your better off on all the HTML/tables putting in
your own widths...
|
|
|
Not sure why they're chmod'ed ot 777...
Could just right click on them and see if the path is right.
Again, make sure you uploaded them correctly and to the right place.
Other than that you might be missing some images, so re-download the poll and see.
Or if none of that works your on your own.

to solve you results problem go back in your browser then refresh the page.
then view the results, it'll say 0 votes.
you were stuck on the results because you were refreshing the whole url
including the added bits ie.
http://www.yourdomain.com/poll/poll.php?poll_id=1&view=results
the added bit is eveything from and including the ?.
The align problem is just with the HTML/CSS somewhere in the templates.
There are various sets of templates.
With those templates are various other ones for view the poll, results and submitting comments.

As you can see some of the images the image path must be okay.
Check to see if you have uploaded all of the images and to the right folder.
|
|
|
you only need to include booth.php once.
the cookies should work automatically.
so long as you include poll_cookie.php on each page the poll is on.
|
|
|
logging allows you to view stats in the admin area for each poll.
when viewing the list of poll's in the admin are there should be 3
icons to the right side of the poll name/question find the one
labelled logging. For ip checking, go to gen. settings, near the
bottom. You can switch checking to ip table or no checking if i
remember it correctly.
|
|
|
you can use Carb's password reset script in one of the stickies in the support forum.
|
|
|
If your using cookie's, open up poll_cookie.php and edit one of the first lines. Its currently set to 96 hours.
|
|
|
search for a thread called advanced poll installation/instructions.
adv poll guid will be up asap as in on good friday... maybe.
|
|
|
Change that page' extension to *.php
As PHP can be put into HTML it won't screw that up. PHP code is executed
on the server and the resulting HTML is sent to the browser along with your
HTML.
eg. index.php
output to browser (source)...

Hank wrote:I forgot to set my poll to check IP list to prevent mutliple posting by the same person/IP.
I see a "reset" button.. but I'm afraid to try for fear of taking the vote count to zero and losing the voting status.
Is there a way to manually adjust the vote count? I don't want to reset it, I just want to adjust/reduce the count to eliminate the mutliple votes by a couple of people.
just go to the admin area then edit poll and there should be some boxes
where you can edit the option and then the colour. there should also be
one with the number of votes for that option.
if you can't edit it them there wirte down the question, options and the votes.
then delete the poll and re-create and put in the boxes between (i think)
the colour and option when creating a new poll.
