Erst einmal ein großes Lob zu diesem super Script!
Hab nur ein Problem damit:
Wenn ich mit einem Kurz-Url auf meine Seite Weiterleiten lasse, bringt der IE eine Fehlermeldung "Zugriff" verweigert, und der Hit wird dann auch nicht geloggt! Wenn ich die Seite mit der Original-Url ansurfe gibts keine Probleme!
Woran kann das liegen?

I use 2.2 and have been wondering the same, I have gone into the admin templates but the one said her doesn't show there so how can I go about adding menu's to the Jump Menu?

I have a problem with the security of this version; tell me if it’s just my computer. After logging in and taking care of ‘admin stuff’, I close the browser. When I reopen a browser and look through my History, I can access all of the admin pages without having to enter a password. This could be very bad if I login from a public computer.
I think it would make it much more secure to have all of the admin pages in a password protected directory.

DID YOU SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

Go to your web space cpanel and php my admin. then export all the "book-data" row and save on you hard drive, then you can cut and paste the entries back into the row after you have re-installed your new version

Could you be a bit more specific? You added the counter where? I'm trying to count HTML pages using this php animated counter. How did you get it to work on an HTML page?

Is it possible to run the guestbook in different language at the same time?
I have a multilingual website and would like to have frontends using the specific language (english, german and italian). As far as I can see you have to choose a language when installing and there is no way of choosing the language by the user. Is there any way around this?

No, you don't have to create the database manually. The install file will do it along with the tables. But you have to create a user in MySQL and then make sure you have it correct in the config.inc.php file... I had this problem also. I had to make sure I used the given name for our server and also the username. the same with the database name.. for instance
"servername_gbook1" where gbook1 is the database name and the username I had to use "servername_username" Hope this helps, took me a couple of days to figure it out.
