OK so i think I am just an idiot about this or something but can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong, I take the code from the advance poll admin page the setup part that says how to put it into the HTML page but the html page reads one of the ">" as the end of a code and I end up with this "poll_process(5); ?> " in the table instead of the poll. Please help. Thanks.

Page is at http://www.mindjakk.com/whatsnew.htm
I got the poll installed and working ok. i use this code to load my main content in the content box and when i make a vote it gose through, but it takes the content out of the main box. im wondering if their is a way to change that.

sorry, if im not good at explaning things. but here is a page where you can see what im talking about.

Would hello
I like to translate this It page http://www.paulo-fontoura.com/livro_sv/lang/codes-english.php
is possible?
So yes how please
i created a new poll, incremented the poll id in my .php acordingly. the poll showed up, but based on a different template (i didnt change anything about this in the code). all existing polls used the right template. then i copied the polldata file of one of the working polls to a new file. i showed with the right template. then i edited the polldata of this file until i resembled exactly the new poll i wanted to show originally. it still showed with the right template although it was the exactly same string like before when it didn't work.

ok, i just played around a bit with advanced poll; i seems like in case of the following code ID 4 doesn't work, but all other numbers do work:

$php_poll->set_template_set("gdb_ito");
$php_poll->set_max_bar_length(80);
echo $php_poll->poll_process(4);
I have the same problems as above with it showing only the text and not the poll, I have went through all suggestions and ideas and still can't get it to operate. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
We had the same problem - though I don't think at quite the same level as you. We only had a total of 5 or so. I was able to just block their ip addresses and the problem went away. We never had the javascript problem with ours either - they would just post their site info. Good luck (I know this doesn't "help" - but just wanted you to know you weren't alone! )
Hello,

It seems i'm having trouble logging into the admin area of the guestbook. I thought i have forgotten the user/pw but i logged into the /admin/config.php file and used that user/pw. Is there somewhere else i should be looking or is there a way to reset it?

Thanks,
I have looked hard myself for this bookmess in lang. Finally, I found out it was in the local language file. For example, if you use English for your guestbook, you have to open english.php file for all the customizable texts.

Due to my lame webhosting co. deleting my entire website from their server, I have had to re-create the entire site. I had a guestbook up with about 100 posts - which is GONE. I have created a new one, but would like to put some of the old posts back up (I have copies). My question is... how can I do it so that it looks like they were posted on the date that they originally written? (Not all today's date). I can get into the database for the guestbook and enter the posts, but I am having trouble figuring out the date - the 11 digit number that represents a specific date and time. Can anyone help?? ( I know this is a bit anal on my part, but it's just something I want to do). As of right now, I have been entering in random 11 digit numbers hoping to get close... but there HAS to be an easier way!!

Thanks!!
Pamela

I've tried changing the extension from index.html to index.php and nothing is different. I'm still getting the error: poll_process(4); ?> in the upper right of my website.

Please help.
I read this thread, I think I've got the same problem at
http://www.yiyan.com/GuestBook/index.php.

I suspect - we have copied the code for AG 2.2 while we both have version AG 2.3. If you look at the new code, the very first line after

function generate_JumpMenu() {

is

$menu_array[] = "<select class=\"formbutton\" name=\"entry\" class=\"select\">";

vs. in the old version

$menu_array[] = "<select name=\"entry\" onChange=\"urlJump('self',this)\" class=\"select\">";

I don't know php much, I wonder if this is the problem...

Please help!

La pagina en que insertaste el codigo, cual es la extension? html? debe ser .php si el codigo que estas colocando es del tipo php
When I log into Admin on the Advanced guestbook 2.3.1 I am taken into the admin page after I enter my USerbname and Password, when I click on any of the links to change or delete a comment I am asked to enter my Username and Password again, this takes me back to the main admin page, a continuous loop. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to rectify this so it does not happen again?

Any help appreciated.
